Springwatch is back on our screens on Monday 25th May at 8pm. Chris Packham joins Kate Humble on the sofa for this year's celebration of wildlife and although we wouldn't usually advocate sitting glued to the TV, this event has become a national institution worthy of full paticipation.
On Sunday June 7th you can join thousands of other wildlife enthusiasts at Stanmer Park Brighton, at the Springwatch Festival 2009. Last year young and old alike enjoyed a fabulous day taking part and finding out about ways to get more engaged with the natural world, including
* a brilliant time watching the shepherd shear his sheep
* Wild Zones to discover more about birds, bats, badgers…
* costume-making to take part in a wild samba to round off the day
* great wildlife garden ideas at the Springwatch Garden Party
* wildlife friendly plants for sale for your home
* traditional woodcraft demonstrations using local wood
* how to become waterwise and learn the art of composting and recycling
* farmers market with the best food and drink Sussex has to offer
* live local acoustic music
